An oil and filter replacement is an important maintenance job, but it is not always the same as a full manufacturer service. Other items such as air filters, pollen filters, spark plugs, brake fluid or inspections may be separate.
What can be done mobile
Many routine oil and filter jobs can be completed at a suitable home or workplace location. The vehicle needs safe access and the correct parts and oil specification must be confirmed first.
Useful checks with a service
A visual vehicle health check can help spot obvious issues with tyres, lights, fluid levels, wipers, warning lights and visible brake condition. It is not an MOT, but it can help with maintenance planning.
